just some pics
realizing I don’t post pictures as often as I used to…
It snowed the other day.

so I stayed home and played the drums.

In preparing to move, I hauled a bunch of stuff to the county dump.

bye bye, “new age”, a fixed-wheel solid-rubber-tired piece of chinese dookie. Don’t worry, it wasn’t mine, it was my daughter’s. Really.

On the way back, saw the most idiotic rice-burner yet. Didn’t get a picture of the front, but it was just as gay.

went home to do more packing, organizing, boxing… ugh. some stuff, especially computer-related stuff, is nearly impossible to get rid of. Goodwill wouldn’t take it, so whatever Powell’s technical books doesn’t take, is going to recycling hell.

maybe later I can visit Des, play my bass guitar in a kid-free environment.

korgasbord
This is kind of interesting, a drum-machine/synth for Nintendo DS owners, coming out in Japan this summer, and worldwide at some point afterwards.
I saw somewhere it’ll be 4,800 yen ($50 USD), I’m sure I’ll see some techno-busking going on after its release.
The Korg DS-10.

books and boooks
A while back, one of my sisters (or ex-sister? I think she’s disowned me) sent me a link to some site where people can list, rank and review their favorite movies, see what they have in common with their friends.
I don’t watch a whole lot of movies, and had zero in common with her interests. Never followed up on that.
I got a link from a friend who is as voracious a reader as I am to a site called Goodreads that is the same idea, but with books. Pretty cool, since I’m often wishing I should keep better track of all the books I read since I usually fly through one a week.
Here’s my list, including some which I review (and have also reviewed here in my blog).
